EMDR is a specialist intervention to treat traumatic or distressing life experiences. EMDR is an evidence based psychotherapy for treating PTSD, C-PTSD, childhood trauma, psychiatric disorders, depression, anxiety and other somatic symptoms. EMDR is suitable for both adults and children aged 5+.

Our EMDRAA Accredited Consultant provides consultation for clinicians who have completed minimum EMDR Level 1 training and are either completing basic training or working towards EMDR accreditation. EMDR Consultation can also support clinicians with their case formulation, integrating EMDR with other therapies, developing EMDR skills, utilising EMDR with different presentations/diagnoses outside of PTSD, and learning and applying EMDR protocols.

All participants present an EMDR case or question and participate in group discussion encouraging shared learning and knowledge. This group can be counted as 2 hours towards consultation requirements for Basic Training.

The APS EMDR Peer Group is a group of EMDR therapists who meet to maintain community, share resources and continue to stay connected about the latest education and best practices provided by EMDR researchers and educators.
The group is a free service for practicing EMDR therapists.
We provide training to organisations and frontline services who are either exposed to potentially traumatic experiences and/or work with people impacted by trauma. Our training focuses on increasing understanding of what happens in people's brains and bodies after experiencing a traumatic event, how our brain naturally processes, and skills and techniques to use (and that can be taught to others) to help reduce distress following a traumatic event.
